Job summary

Wetzel & Sons in Pacoima, CA seeks a Full Time Warehouse Porter to maintain cleanliness and order throughout the facility. You will clean floors and racks, break down crates, and support the warehouse team, reporting to the Warehouse Manager and General Manager.

The position requires 50% indoor work and 50% outdoor work, lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. A HS diploma or GED is required, with 2+ years in custodial or porter roles preferred.

• Assist with organizing materials within the warehouse.
• Safely handle cleaning and sanitizing solutions, flammable materials (Paint, Acetone, Fuel).
• Support the Warehouse Team with tasks as directed by the Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and OSHA-compliant work environment.

The Warehouse Porter is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the warehouses and surrounding properties. This includes cleaning floors and racks, organizing recycling and trash, breaking down crates and boxes, and supporting minor maintenance activities. The role may also involve additional debris removal from external areas and general support to the warehouse team.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• This position requires work 50% indoors in an enclosed environment and 50% outdoors in open weather conditions
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation and push/pull up to 150 lbs. on carts or dollies
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands for handling, cleaning and overall maintenance
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required for specific tasks
• Use of cleaning equipment, compactors and manual tools required.

Qualifications Desired
