Job summary

The Boyd Group is seeking a dedicated Porter to support auto repair operations in Lexington. You will prepare customer vehicles for delivery by cleaning interiors and exteriors and ensuring the shop and office areas remain tidy and welcoming.

This role supports production by maintaining cleanliness and organizing tools and spaces. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Automotive experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including garbage and dusting.
• Keep production area clean, dispose of waste, and organize tools and equipment.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat, orderly fashion.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete.
• Transport customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs.

Job Description:

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

• High School diploma / GED preferred
