POSITION SUMMARY

ThePorter is responsible for safely transporting light/medium duty trucks around our yard, as well as operating light/medium heavy-duty equipment around the yard and into the building, and to any outside service centers we work with.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely transport light/medium duty trucks around the yard and into the building or service centers.
Operate light/medium or heavy-duty equipment around the yard.
Ability to, or willingness to learn to operate and/or move heavy equipment including trailers in very tight spaces. This includes up to class 8 vehicles.
Perform regular inspection and maintenance of assigned equipment and report any issues to management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot, including removing debris and keeping the area free of hazards.
Coordinate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are in the appropriate locations and ready for use.
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Work in outside conditions including inclement weather year-round.
Daily operation of a forklift, tractor, JCB, or CAT telehandlers.
Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles or truck bodies as needed.
Assist with monthly inventory count.
5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment.
Flexibility with changing schedules and priorities.
Good verbal communication skills to interact well with other employees, customers & service providers.
Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
Location - Fort Worth, TX
Hours - Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay- $20 to $21 Per Hour

NICE TO HAVE

CDL
Prior experience with operating a forklift, tractor, JCB, or CAT telehandlers.
Previous porter/transportation experience
