Premier Truck Rental (PTR) in Fort Worth is seeking a Porter (Yard Driver) to safely transport light/medium trucks around the yard and operate yard equipment. The role requires maintaining vehicle readiness, following safety guidelines, and coordinating with teammates to keep the lot organized.

You should have a clean driving record and a valid license, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to changing schedules.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport light/medium duty trucks around the yard and into the building.

• Inspect and report equipment issues to management.
• Keep the lot clean and organized, removing hazards.
• Coordinate with teammates to ensure vehicles are positioned for use.
• Follow safety guidelines to prevent accidents.
• Work in outdoor conditions year-round.
• Assist with loading/unloading of vehicles as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Implement 5S principles to improve workspace efficiency.

The Porter (Yard Driver) is responsible for safely transporting light/medium duty trucks around our yard, as well as operating light/medium heavy‑duty equipment around the yard and into the building, and to any outside service centers we work with.

LOCATION

• Onsite- Fort Worth

Compensation

• Hourly rate of $20.70 + Overtime + Benefits Starting Day One

Hours of Operation

• Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely transport light/medium duty trucks around the yard and into the building as well as to any needed outside service centers.
• Operate light/medium heavy‑duty equipment around the yard.
• Ability to, or willingness to learn to operate and/or move heavy equipment including trailers in very tight spaces (Up to 3‑Ton/Medium Duty)
• Perform regular inspection and maintenance of assigned equipment and report any issues to management.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the lot, including removing debris and keeping the area free of hazards.
• Coordinate with other team members to ensure that all vehicles are in the appropriate locations and ready for use.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work in outside conditions including inclement weather year‑round.
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• 5S (Sort, Shine, Straighten, Standardize, Sustain): Implement and uphold 5S principles within the workspace to improve efficiency and organization.

REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE

• Maintain a good driving record and be properly licensed.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a very fast‑paced environment.
• Flexibility with changing schedules and priorities.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact well with other employees, customers & service providers.

NICE TO HAVE

• CDL
• Previous porter/transportation experience
