Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a full-time Porter for the Cleveland Clinic location in Cleveland, OH. Schedule is Monday–Friday from 7:00am–3:00pm. Food service experience is preferred and the pay range is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including tables, counters, floors, windows and beverage stations.

• Transport dishes and utensils safely from front of house to kitchen area.
• Wash dishes, glasses and pots; clean cooking stations to ensure smooth service.
• Receive deliveries and transport to storage following safety procedures.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.

Job Summary

Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the front of the house, including all tables, counters, floors, windows and beverage station.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensures tables are bussed, cleared and cleaned and floors are cleared and swept during peak service times and are prepped prior to service.
• Follows safety procedures when transporting dishes and utensils from the front of the house to the kitchen area using trays, bus tubs or carts.
• Washes dishes, glasses and pots; cleans cooking stations and equipment to expedite a smooth flow of service while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Scrapes and rinses food from dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine depending on assigned equipment. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Keeps display equipment clean, free of debris and in compliance with all safety and sanitation standards during meal service.
• Helps receive heavy deliveries from dock and transports them to assigned storage areas while observing all safe lifting standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Personal commitment to your own safety and that of others.
• Abides by all Company policies and procedures including but not limited to:
  • The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
  • The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
  • The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.
