Job summary

Ci Siamo Boston, a Union Square Hospitality Group restaurant, is building its opening team in the Seaport area. We seek a Porter to maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, washing pots and pans, and ensuring sanitation standards.

You will collaborate with the kitchen crew, learn SOPs, and contribute to teamwork and on-time station turnover. English fluency is required; additional languages are a plus. Competitive hourly pay and benefits are offered.

Ci Siamo is a restaurant from Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group and James Beard semifinalist Chef Hillary Sterling. Located at Manhattan West, this NYT Top 100 restaurant celebrates the beauty of simplicity centering around live-fire cooking. The Italian-inflected menu takes inspiration from Chef Sterling’s extensive travels and is rooted in the understated excellence of seasonal ingredients and purposeful preparations. Ci Siamo, which loosely translates to “we’ve made it” or “we’ve arrived,” bridges the traditional with the contemporary to introduce a new space that is at once transportive yet warmly familiar.

Ci Siamo’s upcoming Boston location will embody the same dynamic energy and commitment to culinary excellence as its New York original. Located at Commonwealth Pier, an exciting new waterfront project within the Seaport neighborhood, Ci Siamo Boston looks forward to assembling a talented opening team in our new home.

Who you are:

Porters are responsible for the overall cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and restaurant by washing pots and pans, keeping the kitchen and dining room areas clean, and ensuring adherence to proper sanitation standards. Our Porters are required to handle multiple daily responsibilities, display an ability and willingness to learn and take direction, and work in a team environment.

What you’ll do:

• Consistently support a culture of Enlightened Hospitality
• Display cooperation, sense of urgency, house pride, and an unwavering care for our guests and food safety through high integrity performance of ware washing and facility maintenance duties.
• Work with the kitchen team to keep all cookware and storage containers in good shape and returned to storage areas properly.
• Learn and retain standard operating procedures for all sanitation duties while consistently following a timeline and cleaning project schedule.
• Partner with kitchen team to promote teamwork and efficient excellence in station turnover and end of shift breakdown.
