Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Bloomington, MN is hiring a Porter to support the shop and office by cleaning vehicles before delivery and maintaining cleanliness throughout the facility.

Responsibilities include daily interior and exterior cleaning, trash management, tool and parts organization, and assisting with pre-wash and post-repair processes. This role offers growth opportunities within The Boyd Group and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW plan in daily tasks.
• Maintain interior office and shop cleanliness including trash and dusting.
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs begin; post-repair cleaning.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in neat, orderly fashion; assist with moving parts.
• Transport vehicles to sublet locations as needed for repairs.
• Follow safety guidelines and use proper lifting techniques.

Job Description

The Porter complements quality repairs by cleaning customer vehicles prior to vehicle delivery. Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of shop and office facilities.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the office, including daily emptying of garbage cans, cleaning the floors, and dusting the countertops and work area.
• Maintain the daily housekeeping of the interior of the production area, emptying of waste cans, sweeping the floors, disposing of unwanted vehicle parts, and placing tools and equipment in their proper location.
• Maintain parking lots and grounds in a neat and orderly fashion, including shoveling sidewalks when necessary
• Pre-washes customer vehicles prior to repairs beginning.
• Exterior and interior cleanup of customer vehicles after repairs are complete
• Transport of customer vehicles to sublet locations for repairs

Education and/or Experience Required

High School diploma / GED preferred Ability to multitask Automotive experience preferred Clear close vision required 18 years or age or older Valid Driver's license Strong attention to detail
