Job summary

PTLA Real Estate Group in Bellingham, WA is seeking a reliable Porter to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of a large apartment community. This entry-level role focuses on making spaces neat, welcoming, and safe for residents and guests.

You will clean common areas, assist with turnover cleaning, aid the maintenance team, and help preserve curb appeal with a focus on following safety procedures and teamwork. This is a full-time, in-person position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Perform apartment turnover cleaning to make units move-in ready.
• Clean and maintain common areas: hallways, lobbies, stairs, elevators, fitness centers, and community rooms.
• Pick up trash and debris on grounds.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust as needed.
• Support maintenance with basic tasks and help maintain curb appeal.

About this position

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Porter to join our team at a large apartment community. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping spaces clean, organized, and welcoming for residents and guests. The Porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the property’s common areas, grounds, and shared amenities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Perform apartment turnover cleaning, including kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, cabinets, counters and fixtures, ensuring apartments are move-in ready
• Clean and maintain common areas including hallways, lobbies, stairwells, elevators, fitness centers, and community rooms
• Pick up trash and debris through the property grounds
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust common areas as needed
• Help maintain curb appeal and a clean, professional appearance of the community
• Support the maintenance team with basic tasks as assigned
