Job summary

Brinson Auto Group is hiring an entry level Porter for Brinson Powersports of Athens. The role supports Sales and Service by moving, cleaning, and delivering vehicles to customers, while keeping inventory neat and ready for display.

The position involves indoor/outdoor work in a fast-paced dealer environment, with emphasis on safety, reliability, and teamwork. No prior experience required beyond a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mechanical knowledge required.
• Able to lift items up to 50-75 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Able to understand and follow detailed written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Move and clean vehicles for Sales and Service departments.
• Deliver vehicles to customers as needed.
• Maintain vehicle appearance and inventory cleanliness.
• Drive vehicles to and from service lanes and parking areas.
• Tag vehicles with stock and maintain ordering standards.
• Perform tasks safely and in compliance with dealership standards.

Job Summary

A Porter assists the Sales and Service department in moving and cleaning vehicles as well as delivering them to customers.

Specific Job-Related Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintains new and used vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior of vehicles, replenishing all vehicle fluids as needed, and replacing batteries when necessary.
• Builds new units such as ATVs and UTVs.
• Places stock tags in vehicles.
• Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving vehicles as directed by management and in accordance with dealership display standards.
• Sweeps, shovels, or vacuums loose debris or salvageable scrap into containers and removes containers from work areas.
• Inspects parts, equipment, or vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and compliance with standards or regulations.
• Drives vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed.
• Makes key tags for vehicles.
• Maintains value, quality, and integrity
• Drive company vehicle to deliver and pick up customer vehicles

General Company Related Duties And Responsibilities

• Report to work within acceptable time frames and company standards.
• Maintain appropriate degree of professionalism towards customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and computers.
• Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Current, valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)

Working Conditions

The employee will work indoors and outdoors in an auto shop environment.
