Job summary

LRS in Maywood, IL is seeking a Portables Laborer to maintain portable restrooms by inspecting, washing and repairing equipment. You will wash out equipment daily, test equipment in the yard, know how to water up, dump trucks, and fuel up, etc.

A laborer must be able to operate a motor vehicle and haul trailers with some mechanical knowledge to identify maintenance issues. Must be 18 years of age, and a clean driving record is preferred; English literacy is required to understand safety training

• Mechanical background preferred.
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs signals, and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre- and post- washout & maintenance procedures; keep restroom trailers clean and free of trash and debris.
• Maintain equipment and follow preventative maintenance procedures.
• Communicate with Portables Manager, record and track maintenance procedures.
• Keep track of inventory.
• Complete work assignments in a safe and efficient manner to avoid damage and accidents whenever possible.
• Communicate professionally with drivers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Be Accountable, The Portables Laborer is responsible for following company procedure to maintain portable restrooms through inspecting, washing, and repairing. You will wash out equipment daily, test equipment in yard, know how to water up, dump truck, and fuel up etc. As a Laborer you are required to know how to operate a motor vehicle and be able to haul trailers. You must further have some mechanical knowledge in order to uncover equipment/maintenance issues to ensure equipment is running properly.

Reports To

Operations Manager

• Perform pre- and post- washout & maintenance procedures; keep restroom trailers clean and free of trash and debris.
• Maintain equipment and follow preventative maintenance procedures.
• Communicate with Portables Manager, record and track maintenance procedures.
• Keep track of inventory.
• Complete work assignments in a safe and efficient manner to avoid damage and accidents whenever possible.
• Communicate professionally with drivers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must not have any DUI’s or OVI’s within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
• Must not have any license suspensions within the last 2 years.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment physical testing
• Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs signals, and safety training.
• Mechanical background preferred.

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors

• Enter and exit commercial vehicle regularly throughout the day.
• Comfortability working outside.
• Flexible in shift changes as season progresses.
• Exposure to extreme weather conditions
• Exposure to high traffic conditions in yard
