Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is seeking a Portable Sanitation Equipment Associate in New Jersey. You’ll ensure rent-ready units, perform routine checks, and keep the yard organized while following safety guidelines.

The role offers a flexible schedule with possible weekend and after-hours work, opportunities for advancement into driver and service technician development programs, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency confirmed as a minimum requirement.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Diligent attention to safety and procedures.
• General knowledge of yard equipment and loading/unloading trucks.
• Industry experience is beneficial but training is provided.
• Superior customer service and a positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift items up to 45 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work effectively in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Perform routine checks on portable sanitation equipment and ensure rent readiness.
• General facility maintenance and minor repairs.
• Load/unload units manually or with forklift as required.
• Use hand tools and maintain organized inventory and yard.
• Ensure trucks are loaded correctly for the next day and units are cleaned.
• Maintain a clean, organized shop, yard and facility.
• Provide a professional demeanor and appearance at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
