Job summary

Geologics Corporation seeks a Portable Metrology Engineer for a 12-month contract in York, PA, working second shift. The role requires hands-on dimensional inspection using laser trackers, Faro arms, and high-volume scanners, with a focus on quality reporting and process integration.

The position is contractor-based, US citizen required, and involves coordinating with Design Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams to deliver accurate inspection plans and data-driven action tracking.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience using PolyWorks software.
• Experience with Portable CMM, Laser Tracker and High Volume Scanner (Surphaser).
• 4 year technical degree or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspection and dimensional report generation utilizing laser trackers, Faro arms and high volume scanners.
• Generating detailed inspection reports for Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality.
• Conducting laser inspections of new design installations for integration into manufacturing.
• Performing inspection tasks for new designs and design changes.
• Interfacing with Design Engineering, Program Management, Quality, and Manufacturing to address product issues.
• Creating and delivering quality inspection plans and reports that provide data to Manufacturing and customers.
• Reviewing inspection data and assisting in the development preventative action plans.
• Retrieving quality data and communicating results and statuses to internal and external customers.
