Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Portable Equipment (PEMS) Technician at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. You will ensure availability, maintenance, and safety compliance for portable medical devices and work closely with clinical staff to meet patient care equipment needs.

Responsibilities include cycling devices through inspections, maintaining logs, and ensuring PMD compliance using the CMMS system. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and clean devices per IFUs and operator manuals.
• Execute daily rounds to monitor equipment needs and maintain logs.
• Manage PMD compliance using Sodexo CMMS system.
• Prepare documentation on transported equipment and inventory updates.

You will play a key role in supporting patient care across healthcare facilities by working closely with clinical staff to meet equipment needs efficiently and safely.Responsibilities include:Partner with nursing teams to establish par levels and meet requirements for portable medical devices, such as beds, infusion pumps, pillow speakers, and wound vacuum-assisted closure devices (wound vacs).Inspect and clean all devices in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines, utilizing Instructions for Use (IFUs) and operator manuals to ensure safety and compliance.Execute daily rounds to monitor and meet the specialized equipment needs of patients.
