Job summary

The Port of Everett is seeking a part-time Security Officer to protect port facilities and serve as a visible, customer-focused representative. You will enforce rules, monitor facilities, assist visitors, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to obtain a TWIC, hold a valid driver's license, and communicate effectively in English while delivering courteous service across diverse port operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate ability to read, write and interpret complex documents in English.
• Provide courteous, responsive customer service to visitors and staff.
• Maintain professional standards and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities

• Protect port properties and facilities while applying Port rules and regulations.
• Respond to emergencies, de-escalate situations, and direct visitors.
• Monitor security checks, logging ship arrivals and incidents as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of marina policies and assist customers with questions.
• Work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, as assigned.
