Job Title: Port Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic

Starting Salary: $30/hr - $40/hr with GREAT BENEFITS!

Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Port Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will have expertise in hydraulics and schematics, as well as experience working with heavy equipment, including large dozers, straddle carriers, cranes, and reach stackers. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining port and heavy equipment machinery to ensure optimal operation. We are looking for someone that wants to make a lifetime commitment to our company's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in port and heavy equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints for troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on large dozers, straddle carriers, cranes, and reach stackers.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are conducted in compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Six months of day shift and six months of night shift. +25% night pay differential.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Port Mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics and schematics.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Experience working with heavy equipment such as large dozers, straddle carriers, cranes, and reach stackers.
- Must own a set of tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Must be able to obtain a TWIC.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Technical certification or vocational training in diesel mechanics or a related field is .
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
