• Assist with keeping materials properly organized and work areas clear of debris.
• Work closely with supervisors and other team members to complete assigned tasks.
• Follow instructions and established procedures for safely handling materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all jobsite and workplace safety procedures.
• Perform other general labor and material handling duties as assigned.

Port General Laborer

PeopleReady is now hiring Port General Laborers with a valid TWIC card in the Brownsville, TX area! This is a hands‑on, physically demanding position working outdoors and assisting with the handling and movement of aluminum and ingot materials.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $12.50 - $12.50 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Port General Laborer:

• Assist with handling, moving, loading, unloading, and staging aluminum and ingot materials
• Move and organize materials throughout the work area as directed

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Valid TWIC card required
• Valid driver's license required
• Previous general labor, material handling, warehouse, construction, industrial, or similar experience preferred
• Must be comfortable working outdoors for the entire workday in varying weather conditions
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding work throughout the shift
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time
• Strong focus on workplace safety
• Drug test required
