Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Quality Assurance Representative/Port Engineer in Diamondhead, MS. The role requires on-site work with frequent CONUS travel (2-4 months at a time) to support MSC vessel maintenance, inspections, and modifications. You will observe shipyard activities, verify compliance with ABS/USCG, and report status to the PPE.

A Secret clearance is required. Responsibilities include watching workmanship, reviewing drawings, and ensuring adherence to work packages.

Qualifications

• Fluent English speaking and writing
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance
• Willingness to travel CONUS 2–4 months at a time
• Physical ability to walk the full length of a ship, up and down ladders, and crawl into tanks
• Knowledge of ship construction, metal work, and auxiliary systems

Responsibilities

• Observe and monitor shipyard work to verify adherence to work package requirements and ABS/USCG regulations
• Verify installations, interfaces, test procedures and results against drawings and specs
• Review shipyard production activities in piping, steel, aluminum fit-ups and weld inspections
• Provide daily status reports to PPE and periodic verbal updates on progress
• Attend QA checkpoints and report concerns to PPE
• Conduct daily rounds around the ship to observe work progress and quality
