Blue Origin is seeking a Port Engineer to ensure readiness and operational capability of vessels supporting the recovery of New Glenn stages. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and launch personnel to maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance vessel systems critical to mission success.

The role requires a B.S. in engineering or related field, 2+ years in marine systems, and strong technical communication.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, or Math.
• 2+ years of technical expertise in marine systems, propulsion and/or marine operations.
• Strong operational planning and organizational skills.
• Effective technical communication abilities.
• Ability to support occasional off-shift work schedules.
• Desirable: USCG STCW endorsements and DP certifications.
• Experience with ship integration and marine operations.
• Leadership and mentoring experience in high-consequence environments.

Responsabilités

• Oversee vessel systems (propulsion, electrical, mechanical).
• Ensure vessel readiness for recovery operations and inspections.
• Develop and implement operational requirements for vessel support activities.
• Advocate for design-for-operations improvements.
• Author detailed procedures for vessel operations and maintenance.
• Lead teams of technicians and engineers in system readiness and execution.
• Develop and maintain schedules, quality documents, and engineering records.
• Troubleshoot and correct system anomalies in real time during operations.
• Participate in post-mission reviews and process improvements.
