Position Overview
Material Handlers may work in the shipping, receiving, inventory, or return areas of the parts distribution center, with rotation between all areas within scheduled periods. Duties include picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift driving, and cycle counting. They may also perform special duties and work on projects within the distribution center.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive freight, including off-loading containers
- Accurately identify, count, and verify parts using receiving documents
- Stock parts based on part number and location
- Pick part orders using RF technology and packing labels
- Pack parts according to packing requirements
- Operate machinery such as forklifts, high reach order pickers, tuggers, etc.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas, display good housekeeping habits
- Handle hazardous materials according to safety protocols
- Perform cycle counts and physical inventories as required
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Communicate professionally with team members and stakeholders
- Monitor work for accuracy and quality standards, address discrepancies
- Contribute to team projects and foster teamwork
- Prioritize responsibilities, meet deadlines, maintain quality in a fast-paced environment
- Adhere to safety protocols, promote a safe working environment
- Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience with mechanized equipment and forklift certification preferred
- Basic computer skills, including parts information systems and MS Office, preferred
- Ability to operate RF units
Additional Details
- Schedule: Monday - Friday, with overtime and weekend work as needed
- Pay: $21.25 per hour, dependent on location and experience

Physical Requirements
- Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs with assistance
- Prolonged standing, walking, and moving
- Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching overhead
- Operate warehouse equipment safely
- Work in varying temperature environments
