Knowesis Inc. is seeking a Population Survey Methodologist SME III to lead survey design, sampling, analysis, and dissemination for DoD population studies, notably HRBS. This role requires top-tier expertise in survey methodology and extensive postdoctoral experience.

Hybrid work eligible with potential telework; candidate must hold a PhD and a strong publication record. The position is full-time with salary commensurate to experience.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise in survey design, sampling methods, survey statistics, and interpretation of survey findings to support HRBS and related efforts.
• Produce technical artifacts (reports, tools, briefings, presentations, and manuscripts) consistent with the PHCoE mission.

Brief Description

Position: Population Survey Methodologist SME III

Location: Psychological Health Center of Excellence (PHCoE)

Work Environment: Hybrid / Telework Eligible (Routine and situational telework is authorized. Facility space restrictions may necessitate part-time or full-time telework.)

Clearance Required: TIER 2: Non-critical sensitive position (Must be able to obtain and maintain)

Status: Full-Time

Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000

Knowesis is seeking an SME III – Population Survey Methodologist to be the principal authority on survey methodology and measurement for large-scale DoD populations. This expert will lead the design, sampling, statistical analysis, and dissemination for crucial survey efforts, specifically focusing on the Health-Related Behaviors Survey (HRBS).

The Job Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Provide senior-level subject matter expertise on survey methodology and measurement for DoD populations.
• Advise on the design, implementation, and dissemination of large population-level surveys within the DoD.
• Apply demonstrated expertise in survey design, sampling methods, survey statistics, and interpretation of survey findings to support the execution of the Health-Related Behaviors Survey.
• Produce technical artifacts (e.g., reports, tools, briefings, presentations, and manuscripts) consistent with the PHCoE mission set.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate (PhD) in Epidemiology, Psychology, or a related field with a focus on survey methodology.
• At least 8 years of full-time postdoctoral work experience providing methodological inputs to complex multi-site surveys.
• At least 3 years of full-time postdoctoral experience leading large survey projects.
• Scientific publication record reflecting academic or federal research deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience navigating DoD survey licensing and regulatory approvals.
• Expertise in complex survey weighting and variance estimation techniques.
