Job summary

UNC-Chapel Hill's MaTRIC Program Manager will lead 2-3 cancer-related population science projects within the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. You will coordinate study activities, budgets, data management and reporting, interfacing with diverse stakeholders across campus.

The role focuses on centralized project management services for Population Science researchers and requires strong communication, organizational and financial management skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years’ experience independently managing complex public health research projects.
• Strong skills in reviewing scientific literature, data collection instrument design, database management, IRB administration, data analysis and interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact among internal study partners and coordinate research activities.
• Establish study and grant timelines; assist with budget forecasting.
• Coordinate data curation, management and analysis.
• Assist in grant renewals and project report submissions to funders.
• Hire and supervise project staff; manage sub-contracts.
• Create resource guides and templates for interacting with finance/administrative offices.
• Coordinate trainings for investigators and staff on project/financial management.
