Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Population Health Informaticist (AI Training) to join our remote, hourly-contract team. You’ll evaluate how AI interprets health data and shape its reasoning for public health decision-making and clinical research, working asynchronously on task-based assignments.

Ideal candidates have experience with healthcare datasets, dashboards, and surveillance tools, and can translate complex informatics concepts into grounded evaluations while communicating feedback clearly.

About The Role

We're partnering with leading AI research labs to build smarter, more accurate health AI — and we need experienced population health professionals to make it happen. As a Population Health Informaticist, you'll apply your expertise to evaluate, improve, and shape how AI understands, and reasons about large-scale health data.

Your domain knowledge will directly influence AI systems that support public health decision-making, clinical research, and community health strategy. This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare analytics and cutting-edge AI — entirely on your own schedule.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate AI-generated content and outputs related to population health, epidemiology, and health disparities for accuracy and clinical relevance
• Review and assess AI-produced analyses involving health metrics, surveillance data, and community health trends
• Identify errors, gaps, or misleading interpretations in AI reasoning about public health topics
• Provide structured, expert feedback to help AI systems produce more reliable and actionable health insights
• Apply your knowledge of health data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to assess AI-generated solutions
• Translate complex health informatics concepts into clear, grounded evaluations

Who You Are

• Experienced working with healthcare, public health, or population-level datasets
• Skilled in health data analysis, visualization, and reporting — including dashboards and surveillance tools
• Able to critically assess whether data-driven health insights are accurate, complete, and appropriately interpreted
• Comfortable working independently and asynchronously on task-based assignments
• Strong written communicator who can articulate nuanced feedback clearly

Nice to Have

• Background in epidemiology, biostatistics, or public health informatics
• Experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or evaluation frameworks
• Familiarity with AI tools or language model evaluation workflows
• Knowledge of health equity, social determinants of health, or community health interventions
