Under general supervision, the Population Health Analyst is responsible for providing quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources, and for identifying and translating opportunities and business needs into reporting and recommended action plans. This role is also responsible for maintenance of proprietary data systems and structures, along with multiple varieties of analysis, projections, and modeling.
- Identifies opportunities to leverage data and information to support business and client needs.
- Contributes to major initiatives and projects to support objectives.
- Consults with users or decision-makers to understand business needs, data sources, required data elements, and areas of opportunity to add value to the organization. Surfaces opportunities for value-based initiative.
- Provides subject matter expertise for all things population health, including providing insight and expertise to be leveraged in value-based arrangement contracting decisions, identification of opportunities within populations, and product positioning in the market.
- Analyzes data and business processes to produce dashboards, reports, metrics, key operational/performance insights, and identify trends or anomalies.
- Supports other population health analytics initiatives, including risk coding, medical expense management, member attribution, risk stratification, readmissions, utilization management, and low-acuity emergency department visits.
- Assists in the development of training plans and materials and delivers training for the end user.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors' degree or experience in lieu of degree
- Experience: 3 years' relevant experience
- Licenses/Certifications: None
