Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Design Intern/Co-op for Summer 2027 to contribute to POP displays, assemble samples, and organize project materials. You will learn our integrated design, manufacturing, and assembly processes while gaining hands-on experience in Point of Purchase design.

You’ll work under mentors, develop creative visuals, and apply brand guidelines in real projects, building professional skills and industry exposure.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an accredited engineering or design program.
• Pursuing Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Packaging, or related field.
• Demonstrates willingness to learn concepts, processes, and ideas.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Able to collaborate effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing POP displays, including plant assembly instructions.
• Prepare white samples and graphic mockups under supervision.
• Organize project materials and manage outbound shipments.
• Maintain documentation and learn the end-to-end design process.
• Apply Brand Standards in visual work and templates.
