Job summary

The Seagate Hotel in Miami is seeking an experienced Bartender to deliver exceptional beverage service and uphold the highest standards of hospitality and guest satisfaction, ensuring a memorable experience for every guest.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mixology background, knowledge of cocktail recipes, and the ability to coordinate with servers to maintain smooth service. Responsibilities include bar setup, stock control, safety compliance, and creating/updating cocktail lists.

Qualifications

• Must have alcohol server's certification or obtain certification as required by company policy
• Previous cash handling experience with strong mathematical skills
• Professional presentation and refined communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills conducive to a guest-focused environment
• Ability to work with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
• Effective prioritization, organization, and follow-up skills
• Ability to remain calm and resolve problems using good judgment
• Ability to work cohesively in a team environment with minimal supervision
• Maintain confidentiality of guest information and hotel data

Responsibilities

• Open the bar register and complete all bar setup procedures according to standard operating procedures
• Maintain control of the bar area throughout scheduled shifts, including the closing process
• Attend responsible vendor training and ensure compliance with all applicable beverage laws
• Possess thorough knowledge of product recipes and service procedures, managing stock and requisitions effectively
• Create and update cocktail lists to enhance guest experience and satisfaction
• Mix, prepare, and serve drinks according to approved recipes and guest preferences
• Ensure proper maintenance of bar equipment and cleanliness of bar areas, glassware, and equipment through regular inspections
• Stock all beverages, mixes, garnishes, and bar snacks in preparation for service
• Uphold health and safety standards and policies at all times
• Collaborate closely with servers and other staff to deliver excellent products and services to guests
• Adhere to hotel policies, procedures, and practices, maintaining standards of excellence in attitude, customer service, and job performance
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
