Job summary

Reynolds Lake Oconee is looking for a Pool Technician to maintain pools and hot tubs, balance water chemistry, and keep health records. You will operate pumps, filters, and related equipment, and backwash on schedule to ensure efficient operation.

You will interact with members and community agencies while following safety protocols. A high school diploma is required, with a Certified Pool Operator certification obtainable after hire; a valid driver's license is also required.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pool Operator certification (can be earned after hire).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.

• Performs routine maintenance of filters, pumps, heaters, and other mechanical equipment related to operation of swimming pools and hot tubs according to established schedules.
• Insures that routine back washing of filters is performed on scheduled basis.
• Inspects pools and equipment rooms are operating efficiently.
• Insures that all water chemistry testing is performed and up to set standards.
• Apply chemicals to balance pools as necessary.
• Maintains and makes repairs to equipment used in the course of work.
• Brushes and vacuums pool keeping debris, bacterial growth, and marks off of floor and walls.
• Maintains daily pool records as required for Health Department. Reports safety and fire hazards.
• Establishes helpful relationship with members and agencies in the community.
