Job summary

Talking Stick Resort is seeking a pool/spa maintenance technician to care for assigned pools and water features under guidance of preventative maintenance. Summary

Perform general maintenance duties on pool/spas as assigned and/or depending on experience/competence, under guidance of preventative maintenance and work orders. Assists Maintenance Laborers and Groundskeepers when needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Maintains assigned pool or water feature on a regular basis, brushes, vacuums and hoses down surrounding areas.
• Performs a variety of duties on a periodic basis to assigned pools and water features such as acid washing, changing filter socks, removing and replacing pumps and motors, cleaning, overhauling and repairing chlorinators and backwash filters and cleaning deck drains.
• Conducts daily inspections of pools and water features for proper chemical balances, conducts chemical tests of water, applies chemicals as appropriate to maintain proper pH and chemistry levels, determines if pool water is safe.
• Inspects, maintains, repairs and replaces a variety of pool-related equipment including vacuums, mixers, pumps, motors, filters, valves, piping, tubing and gauges; troubleshoots chlorinator for problems.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); previous experience in pool/spa maintenance work required. Must possess a valid Arizona Drivers license and meet MVR requirements to be authorized to use drive and operate company vehicles.
