Starwood Hotels is seeking a Pool Technician in Hawaii to oversee daily maintenance, operation, and repair of pools, spas, and aquatic facilities. You will ensure water quality, equipment function, and safety for guests and staff.

About you...
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair pool equipment.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance work.
  • Experience successfully leading in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing demands.
  • Strong interpersonal, team member relations and leadership abilities.
  • Familiar with Engineering operating/programs.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems.
  • Professional & appropriate business appearance and demeanor aligned with the 1 Hotel brand and culture.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation
  • Ability to regularly lift, carry, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally, 30 pounds frequently and 25 pounds constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
  • A post-secondary diploma or degree would be a plus.
  • Experience in engineering, a team player, hard worker, and detail oriented.
  • Is flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
