Job summary

Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach is seeking a reliable Pool Technician to maintain seven pools and aquatic facilities, ensuring safe water quality, efficient operation, and guest-ready surroundings.

Responsibilities include monitoring chemistry, inspecting pumps and heaters, routine cleaning, record-keeping, and safe handling of pool chemicals. The role requires flexibility for weekends and on-call shifts in a seasonal, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Current CPO certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Previous pool maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pool chemistry and water quality management.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain proper pool water chemistry, including chlorine, pH, and alkalinity levels.
• Inspect, operate, and maintain pumps, filters, heaters, and related equipment.
• Perform routine pool cleaning, including skimming, vacuuming, brushing, and debris removal.
• Maintain accurate records of chemical readings, maintenance activities, and inspections.
• Monitor chemical inventory and safely handle pool chemicals in accordance with safety regulations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety standards.
• Assist with general property maintenance projects when needed.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to pool-related issues as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach is seeking a reliable and safety-focused Pool Technician to maintain our seven pools and aquatic facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring safe water quality, maintaining pool equipment, and keeping pool areas clean, functional, and guest-ready.

• Monitor and maintain proper pool water chemistry, including chlorine, pH, and alkalinity levels.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and physical labor.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and humidity.
• Ability to enter and work inside swimming pools, hot tubs, and other aquatic facilities as needed to clean grout, remove buildup, and perform detailed cleaning and maintenance tasks.
