Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Pool Mechanic to maintain the quality and integrity of its swimming pools. This role performs repairs, maintains chemistry, and ensures compliance with health codes while serving the public’s needs.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing pump equipment, monitoring chemical levels, and performing preventive maintenance. The position requires 2 years of experience and completion of CPR/AED within 6 months of hire.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience performing pool and equipment maintenance.
• CPR/AED within the first 6 months of hire.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair pool water pump equipment and systems; identify leaks and perform repairs.
• Maintain water chemistry per health codes; monitor chlorine and alkalinity levels; ensure equipment operates without leaks.
• Maintain pool masonry and surfaces for safe appearance; inspect and repair surrounding fences and guard stands.
• Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing fixtures; repair leaks and replace washers as needed.
• Assist aquatics and water park personnel to identify issues and perform repairs.
• Perform other duties as required.
