Job summary

The YMCA of Delaware is seeking a part-time Swim Pool Supervisor for the Sussex YMCA in Rehoboth Beach, DE. This role involves ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency at the aquatic facility. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a minimum of 18 years of age with at least one year of lifeguard experience. The position offers a pay rate of $15.50 – $17.00 and opportunities for career advancement and employer-funded retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to serve a diverse community.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• One year or more of lifeguard experience.
• Must be able to obtain Ellis & Associates ILTP Lifeguard Certification.
• Ability to hold necessary certifications for teaching swim lessons or coaching swim team.

Responsibilities

• Respond quickly and decisively to emergencies as per Aquatic Safety Plan.
• Ensure compliance with lifeguard policies and procedures.
• Act in a leadership role during the absence of Aquatic Leadership.
• Communicate regularly with Aquatic Leadership regarding concerns.
• Ensure facility cleaning and maintenance procedures are followed.
