Be part of the excitement at the brand-new, state-of-the-art Rogue X aquatics and events center! We’re hiring part-time, year-round and seasonal Pool & Splash Pad Attendants—join our team today! Go to Medfordoregon.gov to apply for this position!

As a Pool & Splash Pad Attendant, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks related to pool system operations and chemical testing, including:

*Daily preparation of swimming pools and splash pads.
*Assuring pools and splash pads are functional during all hours of operation.
*Assisting Building Utility Technicians on swimming pool and splash pad operation and repair; as well as general building maintenance repairs; and working out of the department maintenance shop on special projects.
*Restoring the correct water levels and chemical balance for pools and splash pads.

Required Education and Experience:

*Graduation from high school or GED equivalent; and
*Must be 18 years of age by date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

*Certifications for:

*Aquatics Facility Operator
*Certified Pool Operator
*Working knowledge of pool maintenance.
*General knowledge of building maintenance and plumbing.

AdditionalEligibilityRequirements:

*Ability and desire to learn aquatic systems and chemical testing procedures associated with pool and splash pad systems.
*Ability to work independently without continuous supervision.
*Ability to operate pressure washers, back-pack leaf blowers, and pool vacuum equipment.
*Ability to perform physical labor safely in all types of local weather.
*Ability to work with and around the public in a positive manner.
*Good attention to detail.
*Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
*Possession of a valid driver’s license by date of hire. New employees establishing resident status in the *State of Oregon must obtain an Oregon driver’s license within 30 days (ORS 807.020 (1)).
*Ability to maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.

Available Schedules:

*Part-time (year-round): Less than 25 hours per week

*Wednesday – Saturday, 5:00 AM – 11:30 AM
*Seasonal (up to 6 months): Up to 40 hours per week Sunday – Wednesday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
*Wednesday – Saturday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Compensation & Information on Benefits:
The anticipated hiring range for thePool & Splash Pad Attendantposition is $18.36(first step) to $19.28or $20.24(secondor third step).The City of Medford determines starting pay based on an evaluation of relevant education, experience, andqualifications as provided by the applicant in their application materials, alongside others who perform work of comparable character consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act.Threesteps are included in this salary range, allowing opportunity for annual movement through the steps.

**Please note: This pay range reflects an increase effective July 1, 2025**
