Job summary

Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana is seeking a Pool & Spa Technician to maintain and repair pool and spa systems for Members and guests. This full-time, year-round position offers year-round responsibilities within a private club environment.

You will test water chemistry, perform preventative maintenance, monitor mechanical rooms, and coordinate with Property Management to ensure flawless service. Strong communication, basic math, and HS diploma required; CP Operator certification preferred

Qualifications

6 months of pool and spa maintenance experience or related field.
High school diploma, GED, or vocational training.
CP Operator certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Test and balance water chemistry and manage chemical inventories.
Perform preventative maintenance on pool and spa equipment.
Conduct daily rounds and monitor water quality.
Maintain mechanical rooms and assist with maintenance tasks.
Coordinate with Members/Guests and Property Managers to ensure service excellence.

Yellowstone Club’s Property Management department is currently seeking candidates for a Pool & Spa Technician. This is a full‑time year‑round position located in Big Sky, Montana.

This position is responsible for providing maintenance and repair services for pool and spa systems throughout Yellowstone Club, while providing excellent service to Members and guests.

Major Responsibilities

Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest‑friendly environment which includes maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
Display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, be empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.

Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.

Essential Job Functions

Test/balance water chemistry, maintain inventory and transport chemicals to individual areas.
Perform preventative maintenance such as vacuuming, brushing and cleaning.
Conduct daily rounds including driving to each area and performing water chemistry testing.
Attend to the upkeep of mechanical rooms and pool/spa systems.
Assist with preventative maintenance of pool and spa equipment.
Assist in maintaining member/owner/guest history regarding special needs/preferences by establishing schedules and data logs.
Respond to member issues or coordinate a response in a timely manner.
Quickly gain the experience and knowledge to detect and remedy warning signs.

Other Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands.
Consistently attend regular staff meetings prepared to contribute.
Assist in creating and maintaining quality pool and spa manuals that outline the operation and maintenance of all systems within the given facility.
Conduct face‑to‑face meetings with clients, coworkers and contractors.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established Club policies, procedures, and standards of service to achieve the overall objectives of this position.
Maintain clear and consistent communication via email and phone.
Cultivate and maintain quality relationships with Property Managers, Members, vendors and contractors to ensure positive current and future business.
Ensure that all work is carried out in a consistent, professional, timely and cost efficient manner.

Experience/Education Required

6 months of pool and spa maintenance experience, property management, or experience in a related field.

High school diploma, GED or vocational training or job‑related course work required.
Proven experience using communication and organizational skills to accomplish goals.

Experience/Education Preferred

Undergraduate degree in a related field.
Certified Pool and Spa Operator.

Certificates & Licenses

Valid State Driver’s License

Language Ability

Able to speak clearly and effectively with Members, guests, co‑workers, vendors and other Yellowstone Club departments. Able to write clearly and legibly.

Math Ability

Able to perform basic math calculations.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve basic problems and/or know when it is necessary to get a manager to assist in problem solving.
