What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee and perform concurrent, pre-bill, and retrospective audits of billed charges against medical records
- Identify opportunities related to proper charging and determine root causes of discrepancies
- Collaborate with leadership to develop standardized charging and documentation practices
- Participate in the annual departmental charge master review
- Assist in training clinical staff on changes in the chargemaster

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Experience in procedural coding, billing, and auditing
- Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- National certification in a related department specialty
- RNs hired after February 2012 with an Associate's degree must complete the BSN degree within 5 years
- Extensive knowledge of laws, regulations, and rules applicable to billing government payers
