The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) invites applications for a Dermatology Physician Assistant in Gwinnett, Georgia. The PA will operate under physician supervision to conduct examinations, provide treatments, order tests, develop care plans, perform specified procedures and counsel patients.
Qualified candidates will hold a Georgia PA license, PA certification, a current DEA and BLS, with dermatology experience preferred. Clinic runs Monday through Friday with no on-call requirements.
Pool Physician Assistant – Dermatology
The Physician Assistant (PA) provides healthcare services that are typically performed by a physician and are under the scope of practice of that physician. These services are provided by the PA under the supervision of an appropriate physician listed with the Georgia Medical Board.
Under the supervision of a physician, the PA is responsible for the following:
The PA will clearly and accurately document all assessments, orders, procedures, treatment plans and patient education/counseling in Healthconnect.
In accordance with recommendations by the American Academy of Dermatology, when a PA is seeing patients a dermatology MD should be present and on-site, except under unusual circumstances such as illness or other clinical emergencies.
