Job summary

Westgate Resorts is seeking a Pool Operator to maintain and operate pools per company standards and state codes. You will demonstrate Westgate’s core values in interactions with guests and team members.

The role involves testing water chemistry, cleaning and maintaining pool areas, performing equipment repairs, and delivering supplies. Requirements include a certified pool/spa operator and 1–2 years of pool operations experience, with physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Must be able to regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
• Background check, drug test and legal eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Tests water chemistry and adjusts chemicals per state guidelines.
• Cleans pool filters and maintenance of bathroom fixtures.
• Cleans pool area, deck, furniture, pumps, tile and related spaces.
• Repairs and replaces pumps, plumbing, ladders, heaters and lighting.
• Delivers chemicals and supplies to pools; maintain clean work area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Description

As a Pool Operator, you will:

Maintain and operate pools and pool support areas according to company standards and in compliance with State Codes. You will demonstrate Westgate’s core values of Passion, Integrity, and Work Ethic in every interaction with guests and team members.

• Tests water chemistry in pool, using Taylor test kit, adjusting chemicals where necessary, maintains all chemicals within state guidelines.
• Cleans pool filters according to prescribed procedures.
• Performs maintenance on all pool bathroom fixtures.
• Cleans pool, pool decks, furniture, pump areas, bathrooms and pool tile.
• Repairs and replaces all pumps, pump motors, chemical feed controls, pool plumbing, decking, ladders/steps, heaters, underwater lighting and main grates.
• Deep cleans pool decks and Vac-Pac areas.
• Delivers chemicals and other supplies to pools.
• Leaves work area in clean, neat safe condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

• Certified pool/spa operator
• 1-2 years of Pool Operations experience preferred
• Must be able to regularly lift, pull, push and or/move up to 50 pounds
