Job summary

YES! Communities is seeking a Pool Monitor to help keep the pool area safe and welcoming for families. You will enforce pool rules, open/close the area on schedule, and keep bathrooms clean and stocked. You will also log visitors, monitor occupancy, and respond to emergencies under management guidance.

This role requires a valid in-state driver’s license and typically a high school diploma. Competitive benefits are provided by YES! Communities.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all pool rules, including maximum occupancy.
• Open and close the pool area at designated times.
• Clean pool as directed by Community Manager.
• Ensure pool furniture is arranged neatly.
• Ensure pool bathroom is opened, stocked, clean, and free of standing water.
• Identify deficiencies, safety concerns, and notify Community Manager.
• Check the pool phone weekly to ensure it works.
• Verify entrants have a pool pass or log visitors.
• Ensure an adult resident accompanies children under 14.
• Secure the pool at closing time.
• Respond to emergency calls as directed by management.
• Communicate effectively with residents and management.
• Notify management of any incident/accident immediately.

POOL MONITOR

Reports To: Community Manager

Position Overview

As a community with families and children, it will be up to you to ensure that the pool area is safe and secure and that the residents are following rules and regulations established by the community. You need to ensure that the pool and surrounding areas, including the pool bathrooms, are open and well-stocked. And should an emergency come up, you will be one of the valued members who may be called on to assist.

Essential Functions

• Enforce all pool rules are followed including maximum pool occupancy
• Open and close the pool area at designated times
• Clean pool as directed by Community Manager
• Ensure pool furniture is arranged neatly
• Ensure the pool bathroom is opened, stocked, clean, and free of standing water
• Identify pool deficiencies, safety concerns, and/or needed supplies, and notify Community Manager
• Check the pool phone weekly to ensure it works properly
• Verify everyone entering the pool has a pool pass and/or enter a visitor log as needed by the community
• Ensure an adult resident of the community, 18 years or older, always accompany children under the age of 14
• Secure the pool at the designated closing time
• Respond to emergency calls as directed by management if applicable
• Effectively communicate with residents and management
• Notify management of any incident/accident immediately
• Additional duties as assigned by the manager and subject to change

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day
• Required to regularly push pull lift or carry 25 lbs.

Education And Experience

• A valid in-state driver’s license is required
• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
