Job summary

SPS PoolCare is seeking a Pool Maintenance Specialist Trainee to support cleaning, testing, and chemical treatment of client pools and related facilities. You will work under senior staff to learn inspection, water analysis, and safe handling of pool chemicals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, excellent customer service, and physical stamina to lift up to 80 pounds and perform routine pool maintenance tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists Pool Maintenance Specialist to clean and maintain pools and facilities by skimming, vacuuming, and applying chemical treatments.
• Periodically empties pools for deep cleaning, brushing and scrubbing walls, floors, and surfaces.
• Tests pool water for pH, chlorine, bacteria, algae, and other data.
• Receives training to ensure correct color, chemistry, and clarity of pool water.
• Calculates and adds chemical treatments to balance pH and address contaminants.
• Inspects pool and equipment for proper operation.
• Maintains daily logs of chemical usage, water quality, repairs and supplies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
