Job summary

Gold's Gym Washington is seeking a Part-Time Pool Maintenance Technician in Woodinville, WA. You will ensure the pool area is clean, safe, and properly maintained, with emphasis on water chemistry, equipment checks, and compliance with health standards.

You will work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and report to the Gym Manager. A high school diploma and basic pool maintenance knowledge are preferred; prior experience is helpful and attention to detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Pool Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the pool is clean, safe, and in compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Chemical Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate chemical levels in the pool, including chlorine, pH balance, alkalinity, and other necessary chemicals.
• Equipment Inspection and Repair: Regularly inspect pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and other related systems, to identify any issues or malfunctions.
• Facility Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance tasks related to the pool area, such as cleaning and organizing pool deck furniture, maintaining poolside amenities, and ensuring cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to chemical handling procedures.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, including chemical tests, maintenance tasks performed, repairs made, and any incidents or accidents.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with gym members and guests, providing assistance and answering any questions related to pool maintenance or water quality.

Position Overview:

As a Pool Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the gym's pool and related facilities. This position requires a strong attention to detail, technical knowledge of pool maintenance equipment, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The Part-Time Pool Maintenance Technician will report directly to the Gym Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Pool Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the pool is clean, safe, and in compliance with health and safety regulations. This includes skimming debris, vacuuming the pool floor, cleaning the pool walls, maintaining water chemistry, and ensuring proper filtration and circulation.
• Chemical Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate chemical levels in the pool, including chlorine, pH balance, alkalinity, and other necessary chemicals. Conduct regular testing using appropriate equipment and adjust chemical levels as needed to ensure a safe and comfortable swimming environment.
• Equipment Inspection and Repair: Regularly inspect pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and other related systems, to identify any issues or malfunctions. Perform minor repairs or adjustments as necessary, and report major issues to the Gym Manager for further action.
• Facility Maintenance: Assist with general maintenance tasks related to the pool area, such as cleaning and organizing pool deck furniture, maintaining poolside amenities, and ensuring cleanliness of surrounding areas.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to chemical handling procedures, and compliance with all local health and safety regulations.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of pool maintenance activities, including chemical tests, maintenance tasks performed, repairs made, and any incidents or accidents that occur. Submit reports to the Gym Manager on a regular basis.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally and courteously with gym members and guests, providing assistance and answering any questions or concerns related to pool maintenance or water quality.

• Previous experience in pool maintenance or a related field is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of pool maintenance techniques, equipment, and chemicals.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations governing pool operations.

Compensation and Benefits

• $22.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience
