Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and consistent Pool Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll service residential swimming pools on a weekly route by testing and balancing water chemistry, brushing and netting debris, emptying baskets/bags, and confirming equipment is operating properly. Start time is 8:00am. Weekdays required; occasional weekend work required as needed. This is a fast‑paced, outdoor position that requires basic math, strong consistency, and clear communication with the office and lead technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Service a daily route of residential pools with consistent, high‑quality workmanship.
- Test pool water and add chemicals accurately according to company standards.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks:
- Brushing pool surfaces
- Netting debris
- Emptying skimmer and pump baskets
- Emptying/cleaning pool sweep bags (when applicable)
- Operate pool equipment as needed (turn system on/off, confirm circulation/flow, basic checks).
- Perform basic equipment checks and report issues immediately (examples: low flow, leaks, air in system, unusual noises, broken lids/baskets, equipment not running).
- Complete service documentation each visit (water readings, chemicals added, tasks completed, notes/photos when needed).
- Communicate promptly with the office/lead tech about pool issues, missed access, unsafe conditions, animals, or anything affecting service quality or scheduling.
- Maintain a clean, stocked service vehicle and handle supplies responsibly.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, perform repetitive brushing, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Qualifications / What We’re Looking For
- Reliable attendance and punctuality (this role depends on consistency).
- Comfortable working outdoors in heat/cold and performing physical work (walking, lifting, bending, brushing).
- Strong attention to detail (cleanliness, water chemistry accuracy, completing checklists).
- Basic math skills (measuring and multiplying dosages accurately).
- Good observation skills (dirty areas, algae starting, odd equipment sounds, low water level, etc.).
- Strong communication and professionalism with customers and team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Work Style / Expectations
- Works independently on a route, but stays connected with the team through consistent updates.
- Follows company SOPs and treats each pool like it’s the standard for the whole business.
- Takes pride in clean, safe pools and accurate chemical work.
