Job Description:

The Invasive Radiological Technologist provides fundamental technical support by assisting the physician with patient preparation, intra- and post-interventional/surgical procedures, management of supplies and devices, physiologic patient monitoring, and assisting with direct patient care. Responsible for the safe and effective operation of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, as well as specialized imaging and technical equipment used for procedures. Acts as a patient/family educator, advocate, and liaison.

Qualifications:
  • Degrees: Associates (required); Bachelors preferred.
  • Licenses & Certifications: Certified Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), Registered Technologist - Radiography, and current Florida license.
  • Active American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) credentials and current BLS certification.
  • Additional Qualifications: Associates of Science; Bachelors of Science preferred.
  • ACLS within 6 months of hire if hired in the Cath lab.
  • Proof of eligibility for advanced certification required (VI, CV, CI for IVR and RCIS or RCES for Cath Lab). Must attain advanced certification within 2 years of hire.
  • Completes a minimum of 12 CEUs annually (10 CEUs must be CV related).
