Job summary

The Southeast Permanente Medical Group (TSPMG) invites applications for a Pool General Surgeon to support Kaiser Permanente members at Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Georgia.

The role involves covering general surgery call with a one-week-per-month schedule from 7 am to 7 pm, Monday through Sunday, assisted by Physician Assistants.

Board certified or eligible (certified within two years of hire) is required; EPIC EMR experience and a team-focused, learning mindset are preferred.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible in General Surgery; must be certified within two years of hire.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Team player, willingness to learn, and commitment to quality patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Cover general surgery call at Emory Saint Joseph’s hospital.
• Call schedule: one week per month, 7 am–7 pm, Monday–Sunday.
• Call is assisted by Physician Assistants.
• Provide high-quality surgical care to Kaiser Permanente members.
