Job summary

A resort company in Myrtle Beach is seeking a Pool Deck Supervisor to ensure excellent service and safety for all guests at the pool. The role involves training staff, maintaining cleanliness, and enforcing rules. Ideal candidates have 2 years of relevant experience and possess CPR and First Aid certifications. Responsibilities

  • Train and guide Pool Attendants.
  • Maintain pool safety and cleanliness.
  • Provide excellent guest service on the pool decks.
  • Cleans the pool deck and other designated areas
  • Removes soiled towels and places them in the dirty bins
  • Replenishes clean towels and removes the dirty bins
  • Empties full trash bins on the pool decks
  • Communicates with housekeeping to keep a replenishment of clean pool towels
  • Provides excellent guest service on the pool decks by assisting guests with their needs and questions
  • Ensures that all guests have a property issued bracelet
  • Explains all safety guidelines to guests entering the water slide
  • Removes towels from lounge chairs after periods of being unattended
  • Cleans up at the end of the day by returning all chairs, tables, and lounge chairs to their proper places
  • Inspects entire pool area, replacing any missing items and/or repairing when possible
  • Other duties as assigned

Overview

Pool Deck Supervisors are responsible for greeting and providing excellent service to all guests with a positive attitude, reporting unsafe behavior, cleaning and setting up the pool deck, and other related duties.

Responsibilities
  • Train, support, and guide Pool Attendants to support daily operations and task completion
  • Greets all guests with a positive attitude
  • Enforces all poolside rules and prevents unsafe behavior
  • Cleans the pool deck and other designated areas
  • Removes soiled towels and places them in the dirty bins
  • Replenishes clean towels and removes the dirty bins
  • Empties full trash bins on the pool decks
  • Communicates with housekeeping to keep a replenishment of clean pool towels

Qualifications
  • Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
  • Preferred: Minimum 2 years of consistent experience and background in pool operations, grounds maintenance, housekeeping, or comparable roles involving cleaning, setup, and safety monitoring
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully passing CPR and First Aid certification courses, which are paid for by the company
