Job summary

The Long Bay Resort, part of Brittain Resorts & Hotels, is seeking a friendly Pool Attendant to greet guests, enforce poolside rules, and provide outstanding service on the pool decks. You will clean and reset chairs and lounge areas, assist guests with towels, communicate with housekeeping, and explain safety guidelines for the water slide.

CPR/First Aid certification is required or paid for by Brittain. This outdoor, on-site role requires weekend availability and the ability to work varied

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a positive attitude and provide excellent service
• Enforce poolside rules and prevent unsafe behavior
• Clean the pool deck and designated areas
• Replenish towels and manage towel disposal
• Coordinate with housekeeping for towel replenishment
• Assist guests and answer questions on the pool decks
• Explain safety guidelines for the water slide
• Reset chairs, tables, and lounge chairs at day’s end
• Inspect pool area and replace or repair items as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Overview

Pool Attendants are responsible for greeting and providing excellent service to all guests with a positive attitude, reporting unsafe behavior, cleaning and setting up the pool deck, and other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Greets all guests with a positive attitude
• Enforces all poolside rules and prevents unsafe behavior
• Cleans the pool deck and other designated areas
• Removes soiled towels and places them in the dirty bins
• Replenishes clean towels and removes the dirty bins
• Empties full trash bins on the pool decks
• Communicates with housekeeping to keep a replenishment of clean pool towels
• Provides excellent guest service on the pool decks by assisting guests with their needs and questions
• Ensures that all guests have a property issued bracelet
• Explains all safety guidelines to guests entering the water slide
• Removes towels from lounge chairs after periods of being unattended
• Cleans up at the end of the day by returning all chairs, tables, and lounge chairs to their proper places
• Inspects entire pool area, replacing any missing items and/or repairing when possible
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Availability to work mixed shifts between 9:00 AM and 11:00 PM
• Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality business, team members may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the resort, including weekends and holidays
• Employment is contingent upon successfully passing CPR and First Aid certification courses, which are paid for by the company
• A reliable team player who enjoys being outdoors
