Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks a Pool CV Invasive Specialist 2 to independently perform diagnostic and interventional procedures under physician direction in the cath lab. You will ensure proper setup, operation, maintenance of equipment, and support patient care with attention to safety and documentation.

The role requires BLS and ACLS, RCIS certification, and ARRT registration. On-call shifts may be required, and continual readiness to respond to callbacks is essential for patient care

Qualifications

• BLS and ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and clean equipment for procedures in the department and bedside.
• Operate hemodynamic monitoring systems and record procedural data.
• Prepare patients for procedures and monitor vital signs.
• Support data collection and documentation of patient records.
• Maintain stock levels for supplies and ensure equipment is functional.
• Respond to callbacks when on call within the established department time frame.
• Perform incidental tasks as assigned in an efficient and professional manner.

The Pool CV Invasive Specialist 2 independently performs a range of diagnostic and interventional procedures under the direction of physicians. This role ensures appropriate preparation, use and maintenance of the cath lab or procedural environment and equipment. This role supports patient care activities in accordance with the values of Tampa General Hospital. Performs duties incidental to the work described within. On-call shifts may be required.

Essential Functions

• Independently assists in set-up, operation, and cleaning of equipment for procedures performed in the department and/or bedside.
• Operates hemodynamic monitoring systems and records procedural data.
• Prepares patients for procedures and monitors vital signs.
• Supports data collection and documentation of patient records.
• Maintains stock levels for supplies and ensures equipment is functional.
• Responds to callbacks when on call within the established department time frame.
• Performs incidental tasks as assigned in an efficient and professional manner.

Education

• Technical Program - Cardiovascular Technology

Certification

• Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
• General Radiographer by the State of Florida and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
