Responsibilities

1. Provide direction, supervision and instruction in the clinical area
2. Make expectations and objectives of the clinical assignments clear
3. Actively participate in teaching clinical procedures
4. Assist students with clinical data interpretation
5. Conduct pre- and/or post-conferences each clinical day
6. Supervise students during clinical hours and hold them accountable to the program policies and standards of the profession
7. Provide ongoing constructive verbal and written feedback to students regarding their clinical performance
8. Inform Sterile Processing Programs Coordinator of any clinical problems/concerns
9. Formally evaluate students on clinical performance in writing on the program evaluation form at midterm and at the end of the semester
10. Hold private conferences with students for the review of clinical evaluations
11. Participate in the departmental evaluation process according to departmental policy
