Job Overview: 8am-4:30pm and 1:30pm-10pm (Shift subject to change based on business needs)

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of the pool area. Includes greeting all guests, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring guests are comfortable, assisting guests with towel and chair needs, stocking and preparing the pool for guests on a continuous basis. This is a seasonal position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in the cabana rental process
  2. Act as the Cabana Host for cabana rentals
  3. Monitor wet areas for guest safety
  4. Prepare cabanas for guests as needed
  5. Assist guests with towel distribution and lounge chair setup
  6. Maintain pool by performing necessary housekeeping duties (picking up towels, cups, and trash in all areas)
  7. Control pool access to registered hotel guests
  8. Uphold pool decor by maintaining the setup and cleanliness of the area
  9. Properly open and close each shift according to Standard Operating Procedures
  10. Work with other departments to ensure a high level of guest service
  11. Maintain a working knowledge of Wind Creek offerings and special events
  12. Respond to guest requests, complaints, or inquiries professionally, courteously, and promptly
  13. Provide accurate, appropriate, and immediate responses to all requests by guests, ensuring complete guest satisfaction
  14. Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized work area
  15. Develop the ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain at the assigned post for extended periods
  16. Ensure maximum guest service and satisfaction are achieved and maintained
  17. Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a quality work environment
  18. Attend, participate in, and support training and staff meetings regularly
  19. Assist in all areas of the operation as requested by management
  20. Communicate to management all occurrences involving staff or guests that require attention
  21. Enforce pool rules
  22. Administer pool closing during inclement weather and biohazard situations
  23. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to attain CPR certification
  • Must be able to work outside in various and extreme conditions
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs
  • Must be able to swim proficiently; swimming test may be administered
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Must demonstrate all aspects of hospitality, professionalism, prompt and courteous service, positive demeanor in stressful situations, and attention to detail at all times
  • Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, team members may be required to work varying schedules, weekends, and holidays to reflect the needs of the facility
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to multi-task
  • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have enthusiasm and excellent customer service skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Must be a team player
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Willing to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
