Job Overview

Pool attendant responsible for overseeing the pool area, making safety announcements, and maintaining an inventory of poolside equipment to be available for guest use at all times. The role serves residents by providing information and services and requires experience in the hospitality industry. Must be lifeguard certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintains constant surveillance of guests in the facility and acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of guests in the event of emergency.
• Provides emergency care and treatment as required until arrival of emergency medical services.
• Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Submits and reports incidents to the appropriate manager.
• Performs various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Works as a team member.
• Is accessible to and approachable with residents/guests.
• Is familiar with the Safety and Environmental Protection Policy and carries out appropriate policies and procedures.
• Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.
• Follows all policies and standard operating procedures as instructed by management.
• Performs any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Certifications & Physical Requirements

• Lifeguard and CPR certified required.
• Ability to swim 200 yards, and to lift residents in and out of the pool up to 100 lbs. or more with assistance.
• Can work in an upright standing position for long periods of time.
• Can walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment.
• Can reach with hands and arms.
• Communicates, receives and exchanges information by spoken and written word.
• Can navigate the property/building quickly and easily as required to meet job functions.
• Can respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
• Can work flexible hours and weekends.

Schedule

• Slow season: Wednesday – Sunday, 8 hours per day.
• High season: Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day; Saturday – Sunday, 8 hours per day.

Benefits and Compensation

As a full‑time associate, eligible for comprehensive benefits including multiple medical plans, dental, vision, time‑off benefits, paid holidays, and a 401(k) with company match. Occasional travel may be required for training and other company functions. Compensation: $16.00 per hour.
