Job Title: Pool Attendant
Supervisor: Community Manager
FLSA Status: SEASONAL Non-exempt (Hourly)
Job Summary:

Maintain a clean and sanitary pool and pool area, enforce pool rules, and ensure all safety equipment is present at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Check all pool passes and complete attendance logs.
  2. Enforce all pool rules as displayed on the Pool Rules sign.
  3. Inspect pool areas at the beginning of each shift and report issues.
  4. Test and balance pool chemicals, update logs, and contact supervisors if needed.
  5. Clean and vacuum the pool, clean skimmer baskets, backwash filters, and skim the pool.
  6. Notify management of any malfunctioning safety or security equipment.
  7. Arrange pool furniture and ensure cleanliness and functionality.
  8. Verify the pool phone has a dial tone at the start of your shift.
  9. Inspect rescue equipment and ensure it is in good condition and in the correct location.
  10. Maintain pool bathroom cleanliness and stock supplies.
  11. Empty trash receptacles throughout the shift.
  12. Secure surrounding areas and equipment when closing the pool.
  13. Open and close umbrellas as appropriate.
  14. Close the pool during storms or contamination events following protocol.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or less, with up to one month of related experience. Certification as a Pool Operator (CPO) is a plus. Must complete Fair Housing and harassment prevention courses within specified timeframes.

Skills and Physical Demands:

Ability to read simple words and numbers, perform basic math, and handle physical tasks including standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Work Environment:

Primarily outdoor work with exposure to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.
