Job Title: Pool Attendant

Supervisor: Community Manager

FLSA Status: SEASONAL Non-exempt (Hourly)

Job Summary

Maintain a clean and sanitary pool and pool area, enforce pool rules, and ensure all safety equipment is present at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Check all pool passes and complete attendance logs.
  • Enforce all pool rules as displayed on the Pool Rules sign.
  • Inspect pool areas at the start of each shift and report maintenance issues.
  • Test and balance pool chemicals; update logs as required.
  • Clean and vacuum the pool, clean skimmer baskets, backwash filters, and skim the pool surface.
  • Report any malfunctioning safety or security equipment immediately.
  • Arrange pool furniture, ensuring cleanliness and functionality.
  • Verify the pool phone has a dial tone at the start of shift.
  • Inspect rescue equipment to ensure proper working condition and placement.
  • Maintain cleanliness of pool bathrooms and restock supplies.
  • Empty trash receptacles around the pool area.
  • Secure the pool area and equipment when closing, including the pump room and storage areas.
  • Open and close umbrellas during pool hours.
  • Make safety decisions regarding pool closure during storms or contamination incidents.
Additional Information

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications: Less than high school education or up to one month related experience. Certification as a Pool Operator (CPO) is a plus. Must complete required training courses within specified timeframes.

Physical Demands: Regular standing, handling, climbing, reaching, walking, stooping, and lifting up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required.

Work Environment: Outdoors with exposure to weather, mechanical parts, chemicals, and noise. Reasonable accommodations available.
